The tourism region St. Pete/Clearwater on the west coast of Florida has already won several awards for its dream beaches. Edelweiss‘ non-stop flight from Zurich to Tampa Bay makes the Swiss an exciting target audience for the holiday destination. In order to increase the awareness of St. Pete/Clearwater among the general public, we have already implemented various PR measures for the destination.
Miss Switzerland Camp
In 2014, another exciting production was brought to St. Pete/Clearwater: the Miss Switzerland Camp. Here we produced photo and text content for the Miss Switzerland magazine of the Swiss magazines and various other media, allowing the holiday destination to be advertised. The great interest in the Miss Switzerland contest led to many publications adopting the content we produced and the destination enjoyed a very high media presence in all relevant regional and national media. St. Pete/Clearwater was also present in the final of the live TV show “Miss Switzerland 2014” in various clips.
Maxim shooting with Tanja La Croix and video clip shooting
In autumn 2015, the German-speaking MAXIM magazine presented its “Hot 100” list with the most attractive women of the year. We organized a cooperation with the magazine and accompanied the winner, DJ and model Tanja La Croix, to St. Pete/Clearwater for a content production. Besides the cover photo, further pictures were produced here for the MAXIM-Hot 100 edition. With the production of Tanja La Croix in a unique location in St. Pete Beach or in Fort De Soto Park, we were able to successfully place the destination in the media. Additionally, we used the trip to produce the music video for the single “We turn the world around” by Tanja La Croix. The destination went viral: The video has already been watched over half a million times.
Zurich City Beach
In order to draw the attention of the Swiss people to the attractive holiday destination Tampa Bay, we organised a somewhat different afterwork networking event for tour operators and media in July 2014 on behalf of Visit St. Pete/Clearwater in Zurich. We brought the coastal region of St. Pete/Clearwater, which according to TripAdvisor offers “America’s best beaches”, to Zurich in the form of a beach party. The event took place with sand, pool and bars on the roof of a parking garage in the middle of the city, which gave it a spectacular touch. With this exciting networking event of a somewhat different kind, we reached the travel agency employees and achieved a media echo in both trade and general media.
In 2013 we had the pleasure of organising a B2B event in the Zurich event location AURA, offering travel agents and media representatives an impression of the destination Tampa Bay, using it as a networking platform. We organized and managed the event while producing content for the 360-degree screens on top. We also supported the event with PR measures. The then Mister Switzerland Sandro Cavegn gave insights into his personal photo album from his trip to Tampa Bay, which we again successfully placed in the media as a people story.
